Minnesota Ballet Theatre
Company Auditions – 2026/2027 Season

Minnesota Ballet Theatre invites talented male and female dancers with strong classical technique to audition for our Company Trainee and Company Apprentice programs for the 2026/2027 season.

The season runs from September 2026 through May 2027.

Programs

Company Apprentice
Apprentice positions are designed for advanced dancers ready to work within a professional company environment. Apprentices rehearse alongside the company and are offered performance opportunities throughout the season. This level serves as a direct pathway toward a professional contract.

Company Trainee
The Trainee Program is a pre-professional division for dancers (18+) seeking to refine technique, artistry, and performance quality. Trainees train within an intensive environment and may be selected to participate in productions. The program is designed as a bridge into the Apprentice level.

Schedule

Classes and rehearsals are typically held:

• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM 
• Saturday: 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM 
• Additional rehearsals may be scheduled on Sundays prior to performances 

Schedule subject to change.

Compensation

• Trainee and Apprentice positions are non-salaried 
• Apprentices may receive performance-based stipends depending on production 
• Trainee positions are tuition-based and include a comprehensive training program

Location: Minnesota Ballet Theatre
Eligibility: Ages 18+

Unable to Attend?

Dancers who cannot attend in person may:

• Attend a make-up class for evaluation
• Submit a video audition for review
