Minnesota Ballet Theatre is a nonprofit performing arts organization founded in 2014 by Svetlana Gavrilova and Kirill Bak-Stepanoff, graduates of the Vaganova Ballet Academy in St. Petersburg, Russia.
Rooted in the traditions of classical ballet while embracing contemporary works, MBT brings professional-quality dance productions to audiences throughout the Twin Cities.
Our repertoire includes The Nutcracker, Peter and the Wolf, Carnival of the Animals, Great Halloween Adventure, Paquita, Les Sylphides (Chopiniana), and original contemporary works.
To inspire audiences through the art of dance, preserve the traditions of classical ballet, embrace contemporary expression, and create meaningful performance opportunities for the next generation of dancers.
